Home Styles In Central Colorado Springs

Most homes in Central Colorado Springs were built between the 1950’s-2000’s. Given that, you can find the common two-story and ranch suburban home types, but also more vintage bi-level, tri-level and four level home options. Most home styles range from Neo-eclectic, mid century modern, raised ranch, and split level.

01.

Neo-Eclectic

Neo-Eclectic home styles are architectural designs that emerged in the late 20th century and draw inspiration from a variety of historical architectural styles. A blend of traditional and contemporary features, creating a unique and eclectic appearance. Neo-Eclectic homes can be characterized by their diverse exterior details, varied rooflines, and the use of different materials and textures.

02.

Midcentury Modern

Midcentury modern home style is a popular architectural design that emerged in the mid-20th century.  Midcentury modern homes often feature large windows, flat or low-pitched roofs, and these homes prioritize simplicity and functionality. There is an emphasis on clean, geometric shapes and a minimalist aesthetic.

03.

Raised Ranch

A raised ranch is a style of home that features a split-level design, with the main living areas located on an upper level and the entryway and garage situated on a lower level. This design allows for a unique layout that provides separation between public and private spaces. Raised ranch homes often have a spacious and open feel, with large windows allowing for plenty of natural light.

04.

Split Level

Split-level homes are a unique style of architecture that gained popularity in the mid-20th century. They feature multiple levels that are staggered, creating distinct living spaces with a few steps separating each level. Split-level homes offer a functional layout, providing separation between public and private spaces.

05.

Ranch Style

A ranch-style home, also known as a single-story or one-story home, is a popular architectural design characterized by its low profile and horizontal layout. These homes typically have an open floor plan, with a seamless flow between the living spaces, making them ideal for those who prefer a spacious and accessible layout. This style of home is favored for its simplicity, functionality, and timeless appeal.

Places of Interest

Some major attractions in this part of town are Palmer Park which is a vast open space that provides over 25 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and even horseback riding. Along with the trails, Palmer Park features volleyball courts, dog parks, sports fields, a community playground, and scenic overlooks, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy. It is a very popular spot for residents and non-residents of the area. Other fun things to do are exploring the University of Colorado Colorado Springs campus, going miniature golfing at Lost Island Miniature golf, grabbing a coffee at Wayfinder Coffee Co. (one of my favorite coffee shops in the Springs), or hanging with friends at Cottonwood Creek Park. If you value convenience and accessibility, Northeast Colorado Springs is definitely an area worth considering for your next home.
